    Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder in which the production of insulin hormone in pancreas is insufficient or faulty. There can be resistance to available insulin. Body is unable to make proper use of glucose at cellular level, resulting in Hyperglycemia (high blood sugar) and glycosuria (sugar in urine).Poorly managed diabetic can lead to host of long term complications are:-

    Heart attacks
    Nerve damage
    Recurrent infections Amputation of limb
    UTI, Impotence in men

    According to Ayurveda, there are 20 forms of Diabetes.

    4 types- Vata (urine)
    6 types- pitta (Bile)
    10 types- Kapha (phlegm)
    But Prameha (Diabetes) is mainly kapha doshas diseases.

    Causes of Diabetes

    Diet increasing ,such as sugar, fat, potatoes & rice
    Lack of exercise , Sedentary lifestyle
    Mental stress & strain
    Excessive sleep ,poor physical activity

    Sign & Symptoms

    Frequent urination
    Excessive thirst
    Increased hunger
    Weight loss
    Tiredness /Lethargy
    Lack of interest & concentration
    Tingling sensation or numbness in hands or feet
    Blurred vision
    Slow healing wound


    Blood glucose level-Fasting & PP after meals
    Oral glucose tolerance test

    Fruits & vegetables help to cure Diabetes

    Papaya, Guava, Orange, Pineapple, Jamun, Green leafy vegetables, Jack fruit, cucumbers, Bitter guard

    Herbs that treat

    Cinnamon powder, Fenugreek (Indian methi)
    Dry seed powder of jamun fruits have to be used in a dose of 1 tsp twice or thrice with luke warm water
    Gudmar patra churna ( Gymnema syalvestra) Dry leaves of this plant, used one tsp daily with Luke warm water.
    Nagar motha

    Daruhridra (Berberis aristata)
    Amlaki (Emblica officianalis)
    Haritaki (Terminalia chebula)
    Vibhitaki (Terminalia Bellirica)

    Do brisk walking at any time for 30 min
    Drink green tea & herbal tea
    Take small meals frequently instead of large meals
    Choose water ,low fat milk, lassi, coconut water.
    Opt for steamed baked ,grilled or roasted dishes rather than fried foods

    Fast food, spicy food & fatty foods is to be avoided
    Avoid sugar , soft drink & Packed food item

    Preperation of Okra Water :

    Take 2-3 medium-sized okra and cut its head portion
    Now take a glass of lukewarm water and dip the okras from the head portion.
    Let it stay for overnight.
    Next day morning take it out and drink the water in an empty stomach, or half-hour before the breakfast.
    You'll notice that the water has turned gluey and tastes like raw okra.
    Some people opt to cut the okra into thin slices as opposed to soaking the pods whole. if you do in that manner, it would be slightly bitter in taste.

    Okra water is very beneficial for allergies, diabetes and LDL cholesterol. A person stricken by any of these health problems, have to provide an attempt to consume okra water.

    A test conducted showed the result of a person suffering from high glucose level came down from 330 to 160 and another persons fell from 195 to 105,the water acts as a role of insulin for a diabetic patient.

    This recipe is very efficient to cure blood sugar, asthma and lower down cholesterol level too.

    This is an issue since you require insulin to take the sugar (glucose) from the sustenance you eat and transform it into vitality for your body, you have to take insulin consistently to live, type 2 diabetes your body does not make or utilize insulin well, you may need to take pills or insulin to help control your diabetes....

    Take your insulin or pills when you should.

    Pursue your dinner plan.

    Get ordinary exercise.

    Check your glucose levels regularly and make changes with the assistance of your diabetes human services group.

    Visit your specialist and diabetes medicinal services group frequently.

    Learn however much as could reasonably be expected about diabetes.

    Prepare your mind that your body can deal with any kind of stress and anxiety.
    Always give your best and do your best to relieve from the stress.
    Eliminate the negative thoughts from your mind and always stay positive.
    Learn about how to reduce the stress and anxiety.
    Fewer intakes of caffeine and alcohol.
    Eat well-balanced and healthy meals and food in your daily routine.
    Take enough sleep at night.
    Do workout and exercise daily.
    Take deep breathes.
    Do yoga and meditation in daily life.
    Talk with someone.
    Get online help.
