    Ashwagandha for weight gain

It is a common herbaceous plant with leaves and roots having immense medicinal value. The word Ashwagandha means "horse-like smell" which is comparable to the rather unpleasant smell of Ashwagandha root powder which gives it this name.

Let us here discuss some of the health benefits of this herb which are almost miraculous, believe it or not.

Ashwagandha herb powder helps to naturally bring down elevated stress levels in the body. It is prescribed by many naturopathic and alternative medicine practitioners merely because of it's no side effects and highly positive results when used on such patients.

It is very good for controlling elevated stress and anxiety levels in the body. It also helps improve sleep disturbance and insomnia which in itself helps to control body stress levels.

Stress is a big factor and the reason why hormonal disturbances due to lifestyle changes are so much on the rise today. Continuous stress and anxiety can lead to elevated levels of cortisol and adrenaline hormones in the body. If this condition is not controlled on time, it can lead to hormonal disturbances overtime which can affect the whole or any part of the body.

Ashwagandha gives very good results in thyroid imbalance and menstrual irregularities also.

This is where Ashwagandha is known for providing its aesthetic value. Ashwagandha herbal powder or capsules are commonly prescribed to patients looking for a healthy weight gain through natural processes. Ashwagandha helps to improve the metabolism and stimulates liver to utilise the food we eat properly.

It also helps to improve stamina and physical strength by stimulating the body's overall activity levels.

This is also the reason why obese people should take this herb with great care and under medical supervision only.

Joint pains are quite a common part of a natural aging process. Osteoarthritis and osteoporosis, especially in females are common problems which the body faces in the later decades of life.

Ashwagandha having mild anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties helps to keep the joints healthy and more youthful. Even in other joint disorders like gout and rheumatoid arthritis, Ashwagandha can be used in combination with other beneficial herbs.

This property is one of the most popular qualities of Ashwagandha herb. Be it ejaculatory problems and erectile dysfunction in males or management of libido issues and infertility in females, Ashwagandha can manage it all. Of course there are other herbs which can be used to amplify its effect as per the requirement, but Ashwagandha is almost always used for people looking to improve their sexual performance and boost the reproductive system.

It can be very helpful for people facing postural hypotension and low blood pressure issues. As Ashwagandha stimulates the metabolism, it can work wonders for the body when it comes to the maintenance of blood pressure levels in patients facing low blood pressure issues.

Of course the underlying cause of low blood pressure also needs to be addressed; still, it can be of great help as a supportive therapy.

Ashwagandha is an herb that helps to keep the body young and healthy. This is one of the basic functions of this herb, as an extension of which it provides an anti-cancer effect to the body as well. It boosts the immune system and acts as a good anti – oxidant which can help with the management of cancer and tumourus growths in the body.

In patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy, the body is under a lot of physical stress as a large number of healthy cells are also getting lost in these processes. Ashwagandha can be of great help in such patients in helping them cope with these highly invasive medical procedures. Its antioxidant effects can help scavenge free radicals released in the process so that damage to healthy cells can be minimised.
