  • Ways to tackle diabesity

It is known that obese people are at a greater risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, particularly if more fat is accumulated around the abdomen. Diabetes and obesity are now common problems around the world.

Obesity increases the risk of developing different types of the diseases. It is believed to account for 80%-85% of the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
Recent studies suggest that obese people are up to 80 times more likely to develop Type 2 diabetes.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), some 2.8 million people die every year due to weight issues. Hence it is high time to take control of diabetes and obesity. Ayurveda’s Panchakarma approach for ‘diabesity’ is unique, and has been found clinically effective.
