  • Ayurvedic foods for Pacifying Pitta Dosha

I have read that certain foods such as mango, melon, cucumber, sunflower seeds, avocado are good for pacifying a pitta dosha. However, I have found that when consuming these I either get a red rash around my mouth, or my eczema worsens on my hands/arms. Also, contrary to the apparently cooling properties of mangoes, watermelons and cucumbers I have found them to be very heat producing. Does anyone else experience this, or know why my body reacts to these foods this way?
