The intense cold of ice cream reduces the digestive fire and leads to the formation of Ama. To diminish the negative effects somewhat, eat ice cream by itself, never with other foods. This will give agni a chance to digest it. Also, after eating ice cream, wait a few minutes and then drink some warm or hot water. In general, you eat warm cooked foods that are easy to digest. Eat sitting down in a pleasant environment and without rush. Eat until satisfied but not full. The stomach should be 1/3 food, 1/3 liquid, and 1/3 empty. After meals, sit down comfortably for five minutes before getting up. Or lay down on your left side for a few minutes. Eat less ice cream, sorry.
