As in ayurveda it is said there are some foods that give out warmth while some food cool down our body. Dates (from date palm) growing popularly in the middle east is a major source for this fruit. I have read that this fruit when consumed increases the temperature of the body. could anyone confirm ! As i was talking with a nutritional expert who mentioned otherwise now claims that maybe fresh dates instead of those which are processed and packed may give a cooling effect as she believes seasonal fruits which grows locally are meant for counteracting the its local climate. In her advise it was like fresh dates and watermelon that grow during the summer helps in cooling the body. it is how nature gifts us. Let me know your views.
