  • Why Ayurveda is Best For You

Ayurveda is the ancient Indian art of using naturally occurring substances procured from plants and trees to treat all sorts of diseases and ailments. ‘Ayur’ means life and ‘Veda’ means ‘to know’. It is a system of practices that is finally getting its due importance and recognition as a legitimate medical treatment by practitioners all over the world. The main aim of Ayurvedic treatment is to help people lead long and healthy lives without the need of complicated surgeries and drugs. Here we bring you 5 reasons why you are better off choosing Ayurveda for your overall health and wellbeing:

    • Ayurveda is a natural science. It is based upon naturally occurring products that mother Earth has provided us with. It is a selfless service to create a healthy lifestyle.

    • Ayurveda is a natural therapeutic realization. It believes in treating a disease, affectation, illness or manifestation with a meticulous healing hand, rather than simply treating the symptoms. It is a process that not only helps you to get rid of the illness affecting you at the time, but also provides an overall healing and recuperating experience to your body.

    • Ayurveda focuses on ensuring and maintaining the health and well-being of all the organs and the body as a whole pertaining to all physiological, economical, physical as well as social aspects. It eradicates the root cause of the illness, instead of just curing. It is highly effective in treating severe conditions related to liver or jaundice and piles etc.

    • Being a natural system of healing, Ayurveda eliminates the risk of any side effects following treatments. It is a nondetrimental mode of treatment with little to no discomfort or any kind of downtime.

    • As a concept, Ayurveda advocates the preventive measures rather than curative measures. It encourages you to follow a healthy lifestyle as a habit, instead of a one-off thing you do if you are sick.

    • As medicines used in Ayurveda are produced from easily available herbs, Ayurvedic treatment is much cheaper as compared to other treatments.

Time tested and proven, the art of Ayurvedic medicines and treatments dates back to the Vedic period of ancient Indian history, which is considered as a goldmine for truth and wisdom. Ayurveda is, therefore, a unique, safe, holistic and effective way of life, which helps your health and wellbeing in the long run.

It's interesting that you say India is a land of Ayurveda, especially as a lot of interest has been on our ancient customs only recently! How do you feel about the popularity of Ayurvedic products such as Patanjali in India?

As we all know, Ayurvedic medicine system is an ancient system. If we suffer from any disease then we can get it treated with Ayurvedic medicine by following simple home remedies. Even if we suffer from an incurable disease we can still get a treatment in Ayurveda. Though there are so many facts associated with Ayurvedic medicine but still there is one section of people who are still suspicious about its credibility.

First of all, I would like to thank you for admitting the fact that first, it is the oldest system of medicine, second, it teaches us how to keep ourselves healthy and third, how to treat diseases on day-to-day basis by using home remedies. Most of all, I appreciate you for acknowledging the fact that through Ayurveda even those diseases can be treated which are considered incurable in other systems of medicine.

I have much more to say about Ayurveda. If you want to explore the visit:
