  • Intrinsic Balance in Ayurveda?

Hello everyone. I am looking for support for the idea of an "intrinsic balance" of the body, and was wondering if people might know of books or resources where I might find this idea in the ayurvedic traditions. The concept is that the basic, default state of the body, before things are compromised through life's challenges, is open, balanced. Balance is not a static, idealized state, but rather is a process, in that we are always referencing back to our basic balance, and working with it through medicine, exercise, consciousness, etc.

Is this idea of "intrinsic balance" present in the ayurvedic teachings, as far as anyone here knows? Do you know where I can find it referenced?
