  • Tired after taking manjishtha for lymphatic cleansing

Hello. I am new to this forum.

I have a problem of stiff, painful eyes which doctors haven't been able to help with. After reading a lot of things online I have come to the understanding that I have lymphatic congestion on my face. A facial lymphatic massage and rebounding helped with my symptoms. Then I began to take Manjishtha which is the primary Ayurvedic herb for lymph cleansing. The first week I took half a teaspoon (about 200 gm?) twice a day and felt a mild change in my condition. The second week I have been taking 1 teaspoon twice a day - which is the recommended dosage on the box, and at some websites. In the last two days I feel quite strongly fatigued. I can also feel lymphatic fluid moving on my face, going down the lymph vessels. I also feel very thirsty.

My understanding is that the fatigue comes from toxins being released into the bloodstream. My liver and colon may not be fully equipped to deal with all these toxins, so they are reabsorbed into the body and cause fatigue. Would this be correct?

I am taking colonics which should eventually help with this problem. But in the meanwhile, I am considering going back to a smaller dosage - although the benefits were not very much at that time.

Also, my urine and feces have acquired a reddish tinge. Is this a sign of toxins being released, or would this happen to even a clean body? I am not worried about this, but curious.

I would appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks.
