  • Diuretic?

    Hi,

The news is in that a diuretic by the name of 'bumetanide' has shown incredible results in the 'treatment' of high functioning autism, because by its action the levels of chlorine in the brain are apparently reduced.

Are there some diuretics in Ayurvedic medicine that would have the same function, but without the side effects? Bumetanide is too powerful a drug for children, is my thinking, and is usually used to treat heart failures in emergencies.

We can try global diuretics, such as dandelion etc, but it would be interesting to see if Ayurvedic tradition has an alternative to the function of what is termed 'Loop' diuretics.

    ???
    Thanks,
    Bundlebee
