SINUSITIS
(infection & congestions/blockage of nasal sinuses)

Inflammation or swellings of tissues lining the nasal sinuses.Normally sinuses are filled with air,but when sinuses become blocked and filled with fluid,germs(Bacteria's,virus or fungi) can grow and cause an infection.(Sinusitis)

A sinus infection can cause a blocking of nose, headache or pressure in the eyes,nose ,cheek area , on or one side of the head.Quite comman in winters in susceptible population sinusitis is quite discomforting and irritating.

Causes

By spreading of infection from some other patient, too much mucus or a swelling of the lining of the sinuses and nose which can block the narrow channels.This can occurs during a cold or may be due to allergy or irritation of the lining of the sinuses causing pain headache and sometimes fever.

PRECAUTIONS


Don't

  • Avoid too much cold and too much hot food
  • Avoid eating fast foods
  • Avoid the intake of kapha vardhak padartha
  • Avoid fried and oily products



Do's

  • Take daily 1 tsp of ginger with honey
  • Take warm water
  • Do gargerls daily for eleminate the kapha
  • Inhale steam for 10 -15 minutes
  • Daily put 2 drops of neem oil in both the nostrils
