What is dialysis?
It is an artificial device to remove the excess metabolic from the blood, when kidneys are unable to remove the metabolic load. In dialysis a special fluid dialysate is used, which effectively removes the waste and keep the essential nutrients required by the body.

At what stage dialysis is required?
When metabolic waste in the blood is higher than urine, the blood becomes saturated with these waste substances and person becomes sick. The sickness due to such substances indicates the malfunctioning in the kidneys. That further is determined by diagnostic tests such as creatinine, BUN (Blood Urea and Nitrogen), glomerular filtration rate (GFR).
The failure in kidneys functioning results in excessive accumulation of fluid and electrolytes, which also affects the liver, kidneys and heart. Therefore in order to protect further from other severe health complications, an artificial dialysis system is required to clean the body.
