Rajas

Literal meaning; the law of nature that maintains the balance of life and life itself. One of the three ‘Gunas’ referred to by Ayurveda medicine practice characterized by action and energy together with passion and stimulation.

Action, turbulence, distraction; one of the three gunas, or basic qualities of nature. Applied to the mind, rajas is the state of mind dominated by lots of activity, which distracts people from
their true nature as spirit.

1. One of the three qualities (sattva, Rajas and Tamas) or constituents of everything in creation. 2. Initiation, Mobility, Activity 3. The menstrual discharge of a woman. ; The quality of passion, one of the three property of manas and conceived as the fundamental substratum of the universe.
